ABOUT ALICE
Alice is an agri-food professional with 28 years of experience in the areas of food safety, quality assurance, and sustainable agriculture systems. Her experience in food standards development and implementation over the past 20 years has helped generate a deep understanding of the food safety and regulatory challenges facing the domestic and international food sector. She holds distinctions in two M.Sc. degrees (Soil Science and Food Safety Management), and a first-class honors B.Sc. degree in Plant Science, Environmental Horticulture from the University of California, Davis. In addition, Alice attained two post-graduate awards; a diploma in business management and a certificate in food regulatory affairs.
She has worked overseas in agricultural development and scientific research roles in Namibia, Uganda and Bangladesh and has lived and worked in the US, Spain, Germany and the UK. Alice is a current member of the Food Safety Consultative Committee and has been a member of several other food related committees including the Irish National Action Plan on Antibiotic resistance (iNAP), Codex Alimentarius and the Irish National Climate Action Committee during her tenure with Bord Bia. Alice's passion is to use her skills and knowledge to create innovative solutions to advance the success of her clients whilst simultaneously improving the sustainability food production.
